Mrs. Carroll November 30 - December 4, 2015

Hello, everyone! I hope you have enjoyed this special time celebrating Thanksgiving with family and friends!  Our school had a wonderful week leading up to the holidays - Operation Christmas Child, Friends Feeding Friends, and the Sharing Feast all wrapped us in a spirit of warmth and thankfulness.  We appreciate our parents and grandparents who decorated our festive table and joined us for our meal and special programs.

This upcoming week will give us another opportunity for celebration - Advent begins and Father Justin will lead Christ Church School in Eucharist on Wednesday, December 2.  All of our families are welcome to  join.

This week we will study pattern and memory words that have silent "ght."  Make sure you study your words carefully this week.  We will begin a new book in literature;  Wagon Wheels, which introduces us to life in another time and place in America.

In Bible, we learn about how King David establishes his kingdom in Jerusalem.  We will continue to write and illustrate some of his Psalms in our prayer books.  We will also find out about a Jesse Tree as an Advent experience.

In History, we will study about the Hyksos Invasion of Egypt and the introduction of chariots as weapons of war.
