Another busy week in Second Grade is upon us!
Tuesday - trip to CAC for the Singing Zoologist!
Wednesday - Group photos and retakes after Chapel
Friday - Sharing Feast (remember to bring that yummy pumpkin bread!)
Second graders have a fun homework assignment, which is due on Thursday, November 19: create a disguise for Tom Turkey and write three sentences about his adventure.
Spelling words this week all have silent patterns (gn,wr, kn, and mb) - some tricky words so study, study, study! We will have a trial spelling test on Wednesday. Who knew a gnu could kneel?
In Bible this week, we are focusing on thankfulness for our many blessings, using some of David's psalms to help us express gratitude.
In History, we will practice writing laws using the model of Hammurabi, although they were very drastic!
Students are doing a great job reading A-Z books. Parents, they should be bringing home a book each week - please listen to your child read the book, ask questions, and enjoy the time together. When they read successfully to me, they earn a star on the chart - a great motivation for them.
