In Writing, students will get started on their "autobiographies" by making a plan. These creative students have many wonderful ideas to share, so they will be challenged to focus on a single event to write about!
In History, we are learning about the Second Intermediate Period in Egypt history - the period that introduces us to the Black Pharaohs of Nubia and their pyramids.
In Bible, we learning about David, before he became King: the shepherd boy, the musician, the aide to King Saul, and slayer of Goliath. We will begin a personal prayer book and include psalms written by David.
In learning about King David's genealogy, the second and third graders became very interested in their own family trees. Some of them came home to ask for information about their genealogy! As an
extension, each student may create a family tree for display! It is not required, but this would be a meaningful and creative experience.
*Reminders:
