This week's spelling words practice the "al, au, aw, al" patterns as well as some "tricker" words that end in a silent e but don't make the vowel long.

We will also work on homonyms (words that sound alike but have different meanings and often different spellings).

We will complete the book, Mr. Popper's Penguins, this week - it is so much fun to follow the antics of this family and to enjoy the rich vocabulary.

In Bible, we will learn about Saul, who is chosen to be the first King of the Israel nation.  

 

In History, we will make amulets and talisman like the Egyptians did for "good luck."
