Big News! The second grade class is going on a field trip to Inner Space Caverns in Georgetown on Tuesday, May 10. They will bring a permission slip home this week. We will leave school at 8:15 and return by 12:45.
The Trash to Treasures project is due on Thursday, April 21. Hopefully you got the information about this school-wide project and are aware that each student gets a grade; no project gets a grade of zero.
Spelling words this week are: shoe, beautiful, school, chew, use, food, you, group, who, whose, truth, true. Homework pages will be #115, 117. Trial test is on Wednesday and final test is on Friday.
In Grammar, we will continue to work on recognizing and using adjectives as well as distinguishing between and incomplete sentences.
In History, we will learn about Alexander (the Great) as a young boy. The students will enjoy hearing about his horse Bucephalus! We will work on a map showing Macedonia, Greece, Persia, and Egypt.
In Bible, we will learn about the fall of the Kingdom of Judah as we review the long list of kings (good and bad).
